Lake Ridge

Another of Fort Lauderdale’s hidden gem neighborhoods, Lake Ridge was one the hottest neighborhoods in the early 90s. The 50’s style homes were often upgraded or torn down for condos and townhouses. It still retains most of its charm and character which makes it popular for home buyers. Most of the cement block- houses, built in the ‘50s, are two and three-bedroom/ one- bath residences. “Since we are less than one mile from the beach and downtown Fort Lauderdale, and near Interstate 95, the area became desirable for buyers. Buyers discovered this gem when many original owners were selling. Some homes have kept original floor-plans; others made changes such as adding another bathroom, etc. These are charming houses, many of which are on a fresh water. This is a great place to start a family or buy your first house in Fort Lauderdale.
