Pompano Beach
Once considered by many as a lower cost alternative to Fort Lauderdale Beach, Pompano Beach has spent tens of millions to update their image. The city has wisely focused their efforts on remaking the main public beach area into a walk friendly park atmosphere that is attracting new shops, restaurants and tourists. Cranes and new construction projects are everywhere from the beaches to the highway. Pompano Beach boasts many of the same assets that make South Florida a tremendously popular tourist destination, as well as a place to buy a second home or retire. The beaches are wide and much less crowded than most. The vast network of canals on the eastern part of the city attract boaters looking for a more affordable option than most cities and benefits from being close to the Hillsboro Inlet to get to the ocean. It also offers oceanfront condos that are spaced farther apart allowing for better ocean views. I have sold many condos in this area and can save you a lot of time looking in buildings that have challenges and steer you towards better options. Pompano is growing, and the new construction condos are going more upscale to meet the demands of the market.
