Downtown Fort Lauderdale
Downtown Fort Lauderdale is the epicenter of new growth in the city. New buildings are rising from Las Olas Boulevard’s financial district and all along the New River that runs through the city. Entire blocks have been razed just North of Downtown to build high rise rental buildings and shopping areas forming the newly named Flagler Village. The city is expecting a large influx of younger upwardly mobile professionals to fill the units and accommodate the cities growing tourism industry. Downtown condos differ from the oceanfront units because they are geared more towards residents that live full time in Fort Lauderdale. Mostly located not far from Las Olas Boulevard, downtown condos focus on amenities like larger fitness centers, rooftop pools, spas and active lifestyle activities. Most buildings are just blocks away from grocery stores, restaurants and shops.
