Colee Hammock
Colee Hammock is easily one of the more desirable neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale. The mature hammock of large hardwood trees gives the area an undeniable charm that is only accentuated bye he diversity of the architecture. Over the years owners gradually built the style that appealed to them which includes sprawling Southern plantation homes, art deco houses and lots of historic cottages. When most of Florida is littered with cookie cutter gated communities, Colee Hammock breaks the mold with magnificent landscaping, quiet streets and upscale distinctive style. The area is bordered on the South side by Las Olas Boulevard, so residents can walk to fashionable restaurants, shops or even the beach. There are a few cottages at the lower end of the market that could sell starting in the $700ks, but most of the homes are million plus and deservedly so.
