Hillsboro Beach
Another of the smaller oceanfront communities Hillsboro Beach is located between Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach. The coastline of the city is only 3.2 miles long with oceanfront condos on the North end and Millionaire’s Mile at the South end. To say it’s a unique city is a bit of an understatement. The Northern section of the beach is mostly oceanfront condos and hotels. I sold a penthouse in one of the most exclusive condos and my buyers say it was one of the best decisions of their life. The mood is very serene, and the beaches are rarely crowded. The city is bordered by the ocean on one side and only a few blocks away is the Intracoastal. The southern end of the city is known as Millionaire’s Mile but should more accurately be called Billionaire’s Mile. The mansions along the strip sit on the sand and the back half of the lot sits on the Intracoastal so you can keep your yacht just across the A1A. Most on the oceanfront mansions own both sides of the street for just that purpose. The most expensive house ever sold in Broward county was on Millionaire’s Mile. La Palais Royal Mansion It features more than 60,000 square feet with 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms on the 4.4-acre site. It includes an IMAX Theater, a 4,500-square-foot infinity edge pool, a $2 million grand staircase, gold leaf finishes, a putting green, a 26-foot tall fountain, and a 30-car garage. Not many small cities have a price range of $300ks to $159,000,000!
