The Idlewyld neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale has on of the most picturesque locations in the entire city. Many of the larger homes are located directly on the water and a few have deeded docks that come with the property. Idlewyld is mostly surrounded by the Intracoastal waterway which affords residents spectacular views of the marina and passing yachts. Besides the scenic views, Idlewyld is just off Las Olas Boulevard and three blocks to the ocean. Buyers couldn’t really ask for a better location. The smaller non waterfront houses generally start at about $900k in comparison to the waterfront houses that are usually starting in the mid one millions and go up from there. This neighborhood is very popular with active adults and families that like outdoor activities like boating, biking and the beach.
